WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

Let me introduce you to Man Up Gadsden, the non-profit organization focusing on men’s health.  Man Up Gadsden was founded in 2017 from people in our community; medical personnel, concerned parents and community advocates who realized a need to bring awareness of prostate and testicular cancer to the forefront of men’s heath. Through these people we are dedicated to answering questions, raising funds and awareness for young boys and men in our community.

Man Up Gadsden is a not for profit organization dedicated to the education, prevention, and support services for Prostate and Testicular cancer patients, family, and community members…and we are proud to say it is the first of its kind in Gadsden.  The Man Up Gadsden organization was founded for the education, prevention, and treatment of illnesses afflicting men. We believe in hope, self-advocacy, early detection, education and emotional support. We aid in prevention and early detection and explain how to survive prostate and testicular cancer, and live the best life after cancer! We will help you understand your diagnosis and the many options available to you. We can help you find a doctor, tell you how to prepare for chemotherapy, how to deal with the side effects of chemotherapy and how to stay healthy after treatment ends.

If you know of anyone who needs help, please share our information and help spread the word!

Do you have high school age boys?  Ask your children or family member if Man Up Gadsden has visited their school?  Co-founder Dr. John Pirani and male volunteers from the Man Up Gadsden organization will be visiting schools spreading the word of early detection through our 'BLUE RALLY'S".  Testicular cancer is the most common cancer of young men ages 15-35, so Man Up Gadsden and CHECK’EM!
